Inside the retail box is paper wrapping to protect the shoes. The paper will have the Adidas logo as well as the Trefoil logo screen-printed onto the paper, check the quality of the printing making sure the edges of the logos are sharp and straight. Make sure the logos are all printed at the same density.
Adidas Yeezy Powerphases will have a gold Calabasas logo fused onto the upper. Make sure the typeface used is correct. Check that the letters are reflective gold and that they are slightly thick, not just flat ink.
The tongue will have a lace stay stitched onto the front. Make sure there is a tight double stitch line holding the base of this lace holder in place, note how the top of the lace holder folds over and there is no stitch line along the top edge that you can see. Take note of the thickness of the leather which keeps the lace holder rigid and open.
If you look down the inside of the forefoot you will see the how the sockliner is glued down with no visible stitching.
