Learn how to spot fake Nike Foamposite 1's with this detailed 24 point step-by-step guide by goVerify.
Nike retail boxes feature a label on one side detailing barcode, style name, size, color, country of manufacture and a style number. The style number is usually 9 digits long, the first 6 digits represent the style and the last 3 digits represent the colourway. Check that this style number matches the one located inside the shoe and on the sales receipt. Tip 1: Do a Google image search for "Nike"+"style number" to check the colourway. Tip 2: scan the barcode (even a photo of one) with a barcode scanner app, the exact product including size should be correct.
Nike Foamposites 1's will feature a "1 Penny" logo on the heel. Check the quality and finish of the embroidery, make sure the stitching is tight and neat with no loose ends. If the logo is printed onto the heel make sure the quality of the printing is solid with no rough edges.
On the underside of the upper is a strip of fused tape above the lace holes. Make sure the taping is fused onto the underside with no excess glue showing. There is also a line of stitching along the panel edge, make sure the stitching is tight, neat and evenly spaced.
The insole of Nike Foamposite 1 PRM's has a unique fused insole and upper, check the checkerboard pattern of the insole and the positioning hole drilled in the center of the heel.
