8. Wrapping
Inside the retail box is paper wrapping to protect the shoes. The paper will have the Adidas logo as well as the Trefoil logo screen-printed onto the paper, check the quality of the printing making sure the edges of the logos are sharp and straight. Make sure the logos are all printed at the same density.
20. Tongue Logo
Adidas NMD XR1's will have an Adidas and Trefoil logo varnished and debossed into a patch on the tongue. Check that the logo is clear with sharp edges. This is also a good opportunity to have a close look at the stitching along the edge of the tongue, make sure the zigzag stitching is tight, neat and evenly spaced. The logo patch should run under the tongue piping.
29. Toe Numbers
Adidas NMD XR1's have a small number embossed into the rubber of each toe cap. Makes sure the embossing is high quality. Make sure the typeface used is correct and that the numbers have slightly rounded edges. This is a good opportunity to have a close up look at the join between the rubber outsole, midsole and upper.
